Assynt

Assynt is where the mountains meet the Atlantic Ocean.  An unspoilt wilderness forged through millions of years of continental drift, collisions and tectonic thrusts. Its stunning landscape and unique geology, coupled with a teaming native wildlife, make it an area of outstanding natural beauty and history.

Whether it be walking or hiking in the great outdoors , fishing in the rivers and lochs, kayaking, swimming or simply enjoying the fresh air (very fresh air) at one of our breath-taking beaches, Assynt offers something for everyone.  This includes for food lovers, where the area has rapidly gained a reputation as a gastronomical hub with excellent eateries, all within 4 miles of Kirkaig LodgePeets, Lochinver Larder and Inver Lodge to name a few.

Is it any wonder this secret location has become such a firm favourite on the North Coast 500.
